GREEN TEAM & YOUTH EVENT SUNDAY NOVEMBER 5
This week: TREE planting and garden maintenance.

The OMI Green Team is the umbrella of the congregational  Green Teams within OMI/Meeting House. We have received seven grants to enhance the "Greening of OMI". You may have noticed a new water fountain (with bottle filling station) and new waste management stations popping up around the building. We built two new gardens as well for a total of 7! Construction on our newest stormwater bioretention basin (garden #8) started October 16.  Part of our grant activities is environmental education and this is where YOU come in. Check out www.omigreenteam.org for event and activities listings, and photos.

Sunday November  (Youth) Green Team event will focus on planting new trees at OMI. We will have 19 trees  that need to be planted.  We will provide tools and plants - middle schoolers and up should bring a metal shovel please.  Workgloves  (yes we have really little sizes) are provided or bring your own.

Come any time between 9 and 12  (we'll be there till after 2) but please preregister so we can prepare! Adults are welcome but so are under 18's.  Middle schoolers and younger need to be accompanied by an adult. Younger kids under 5 maybe 30 -60 minutes, middle schoolers 3 hours. You be the judge. Please pre-register! Your kid(s) will thank you.

As always we can use program volunteers: high school to 82+ - no meetings and we train you! volunteeratomigreenteam@gmail.com

COMING ATTRACTIONS November 19 is maintenance day - again any age over 2.
