Tree size and location:Artificial trees provided by the museum are 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide
If you are creating a tree, it must be no taller than 6.5 feet and no wider than 4.5 feet
There are six spaces available for outdoor trees on both sides of the front door
White Pine sponsors can select their tree location on a first come, first served basis
Cedar and Red Pine sponsors will be assigned a location
Decorating your tree:
Help us keep mice and bugs out of the museum! Absolutely no tempting treats for pests! For example: seeds, cookies, dog treats, candy. A limited number of outdoor trees are available if you want to decorate for birds or wildlife.
Check in with staff when you arrive. We’ll help you find your tree
You’ll provide all of your own decorations and supplies (hooks, clips, lights, etc).
You can use up to five strings of LED lights on your tree. (Tip: test them ahead of time!)
The museum has a limited number of ladders. Please bring your own!
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Decorating hours:
December 3th or 5th: 9:00am to 5:00pm
December 2rd and 4th: 2:00pm to 8:00pm
The museum will be closed to the public the week of December 2-6.
Your tree must be decorated by 5pm on Saturday, December 6th.
Special appointments outside of these hours can be arranged if given enough advance.
Event details:
The day of the event Wakanda Wonderland 2025 is on Saturday, December 13. We encourage you and your friends and family to come out and vote for your tree and enjoy the event. We’d love to snap a picture of you with your tree! If you take a picture please tag us or use #wakandawonderland.
After the event:
The trees will be on display through January 3rd.
All decorations and custom created trees can be taken down starting on January 6th, and no later than January 10th at 5pm. The museum does not have adequate space to store decorations.
