⚠️ Food Vendor Notice – Effective September 1, 2025 *Cottage Food Vendors If you are selling foods covered by the Texas Cottage Food Law (such as baked goods, jams, pickles, candy, coffee, etc.), you do not need a food permit to participate. *Cottage food vendors selling TCS (Time/Temperature Control for Safety) foods such as cheesecakes, cream pies, or cut fruit must register with DSHS, use proper labeling, and follow storage/temperature rules — but no local permit is required.
