Request Placement of Films in Virtual Cinema
The Center for Second Language Study is excited that you are interested in using film in your course! We are interested in receiving your requests for the use of the Virtual Cinema. Use of the Virtual Cinema is governed by very strict rules, devised by Vanderbilt University's Office of the General Counsel. We have to follow these rules, in order to provide a service that operates within the confines of US Copyright laws. Here are the basic guidelines: 1) The Center for Second Language Studies MUST own a physical copy of the film. We cannot place items into the Virtual Cinema that are personal possessions or Library Property. 2) We must ask for permissions from the distributor and, if necessary, pay the necessary fees. 3) We must have some lead-time (at least 72 business hours) in order to place films in the Virtual Cinema.
