During their residency, moilesautresart went back and forth between Decoratelier’s workshop, Cassonade’s kitchen and cook book library (created by Charlotte Koopman from part of Anne Flaten Pixley’s collection). In honour of this to and fro, join them for an hour of butter talk in Cassonade’s pantry.
The trio has made three engraved butter molds inspired by objects found in the archives of the Ferme-Musée du Cotentin in Normandy. Since May 2025, they have been exploring the figure of the cow, and consequently milk and butter.
Using these butter molds as a starting point, they will present this ongoing research. Through the reading of texts, the sharing of images and the singing of a normand folk song they will reflect on our relationship to the animals we raise and the food we produce.
You will also get to hand-churn butter, press it into the molds and of course taste the fruit of your labour.

Pendant leur résidence, moilesautresart ont fait des allers-retours entre l'atelier de Decoratelier, la cuisine de Cassonade et la bibliothèque de livres de cuisine (créée par Charlotte Koopman à partir d'une partie de la collection d'Anne Flaten Pixley). En cet honneur, rejoignez-les pour une heure de discussion sur le beurre dans le garde-manger de Cassonade.
Le trio a réalisé trois moules à beurre gravés inspirés d'objets trouvés dans les archives de la Ferme-Musée du Cotentin en Normandie. Depuis mai 2025, elles explorent la figure de la vache, et par conséquent le lait et le beurre.
À partir de ces moules à beurre, elles présenteront leurs recherches en cours. À travers la lecture de textes, le partage d'images et le chant d'une chanson folklorique normande, elles réfléchiront à notre relation avec les animaux que nous élevons et les aliments que nous produisons.
Vous pourrez également baratter du beurre à la main, le presser dans les moules et, bien sûr, déguster le fruit de votre travail.

Tijdens hun residentie pendelden moilesautresart heen en weer tussen het atelier van Decoratelier, de keuken van Cassonade en de kookboekbibliotheek (opgezet door Charlotte Koopman met een deel van de collectie van Anne Flaten Pixley). Ter ere van dit heen en weer reizen kunt u een uurtje lang met hen meepraten over boter in de voorraadkamer van Cassonade.
Het trio heeft drie gegraveerde botervormpjes gemaakt, geïnspireerd op voorwerpen uit het archief van de Ferme-Musée du Cotentin in Normandië. Sinds mei 2025 verdiepen ze zich in de figuur van de koe, en daarmee ook in melk en boter.
Met deze botervormpjes als uitgangspunt presenteren ze hun lopende onderzoek. Door het voorlezen van teksten, het delen van beelden en het zingen van een Normandisch volksliedje reflecteren ze op onze relatie met de dieren die we houden en het voedsel dat we produceren.
Je kunt ook zelf boter karnen, deze in de vormpjes persen en natuurlijk het resultaat van je werk proeven.
