RSVP: Love Canal & West Lake Landfill with special guest Lois Gibbs

WHO: Lois Gibbs, founder of the Center for Health and Environmental Justice (CHEJ) and nominated for the 2003 Nobel Peace Prize, is coming to St. Louis to address the smoldering and radioactive West Lake Landfill. Sponsoring organizations include JustMomsSTL, International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Franciscan Sisters of Mary, state Rep. Bill Otto, and the Missouri Coalition for the Environment.

WHAT: West Lake Landfill Conference

WHEN: Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 9am-3pm. Registration starts at 8am and refreshments will be served. The event starts promptly at 9am!

WHERE: Graphic Arts Banquet & Conference Center, 105 Progress Pkwy, Maryland Heights, MO 63043

WHY: Because you need to know more about what's happening at the smoldering and radioactive West Lake Landfill in St. Louis County, Missouri.

OTHER: The event is limited to 260 people. Coffee and breakfast breads will be available in the morning and lunch will be provided, all for free. The organizing committee will make confirmation calls the week of the event.
