GSD School-Parent Compact Feedback 2015-16
As a Title I school, the Georgia School for the Deaf, with feedback from parents and students, develops a School-Parent Compact. This document is a written agreement between teachers and parents that defines the roles of each in promoting student achievement. The compact should serve as a reminder that each party has responsibilities in a child’s education and is key to student success.
This document will be presented to all GSD families on Registration Day, and parents, students and a school administrator/teacher are required to sign the document. This year the document has been restructured, so it looks different from compacts distributed previously. The School-Parent Compact should serve as a resource to the school, parents and students all year long.
Please take time to consider a last year's compact, the format for this year's compact and the Powerpoint about School-Parent Compacts (you can find these our website under Your Feedback and the Family & Community Engagement page).
Parent and student feedback is necessary to develop a proper School-Parent Compact. Please take a few minutes to offer your ideas and feedback on the 2015-16 School Compact.
