Thank you so much for agreeing to be a charity runner for the Surfgimp Foundation. We are so excited to have you as part of the Surfgimp line-up!

Surfgimp Foundation's mission is to support, through financial grants, individuals with disabilities who require assistance to pursue an active lifestyle.

Surfgimp was founded by Jay Liesener. As a boy, Jay was a multi-sport athlete who loved to swim and play in the ocean. At the age of 17, he broke his neck, rendering him a quadriplegic. Determined to not be defined by his injury, he rediscovered his love for the water. For nearly a decade, Liesener and his always-present support group, Team Surfgimp, caught waves while inspiring curious beachgoers. In honor of Jay’s persevering spirit, the Surfgimp Foundation was created in order to provide grants for disabled people who want to experience their dreams the way Jay was able to experience his. After completing the sign-up below, please give us a few days to email you information to support your fundraising efforts -- personalized fundraising page, sample fundraising letters, and more.

You will receive your shirt and entry fee reimbursement (up to $150 for the marathon and $130 half marathon) once you raise the minimum $500.

Longboard: $1,000 — Stand-Up Paddle Board Benefits + one ticket to Annual Surfgimp Beach Bash (annual fundraiser at the Rusty Rudder with food/open bar on 1/13/24 -- a $95 value)

Mid-Length: $1,500 — Longboard benefits + one additional ticket (two total) to Annual Surfgimp Beach Bash

Shortboard $2,000 — Mid-Length benefits + one night hotel accommodations for Surfgimp Beach Bash ($200 value)
