Standing Committee Positions- check all committees you are interested in. Learn more about each position & its responsibilities here

Programs and Hospitality (at least 2 volunteers) Coordinates National PTA Reflections; provides support for the President Volunteer Service Award program; organizes refreshments at in person meetings; sources and schedules programs and seminars

Class Activities (at least 2 volunteers per grade) Coordinates with Student Council and school staff to plan events for students and families

Staff Appreciation and Development (at least 3 volunteers) Coordinates staff welcome back breakfast Aug & Jan, after school meal for parent/teacher conference nights, Staff Appreciation Week in the spring; recruits volunteers for Secret Pal Program

Membership (at least 1 volunteer) Recruits new members year-round, collects dues and maintains membership records. Reports membership numbers to Texas PTA in a timely manner

Communications (at least 2 volunteers) Oversees and maintains PTSA communications including website, newsletter, social media

Fundraising (at least 1 volunteer) Coordinates annual fundraising drive (e.g., participation in North Texas Giving Day) and participation in community partnership fundraising initiatives

Spirit Store (at least 2 volunteers) Manages development and sales of school-branded spirit wear

Budget and Finance (at least 1 volunteer) Develops proposed budget amendments as needed for presentation at board and membership meetings as well as the budget for the next fiscal year. Reviews additional miscellaneous budget requests as needed

Grants and Faculty Scholarships (at least 1 volunteer per grade level) Reviews requests for grants that benefit the school, students or administration for which district funds are unavailable. Reviews faculty scholarship applications for workshop/ registration fees for continuing education

Flight School (at least 2 volunteers) Coordinates breakfast served to new incoming students and their families before school starts. Provides additional volunteer support for this annual onboarding event as requested by school staff

Family Back to School Picnic (at least 2 volunteers) Coordinates family picnic in the first quarter of the school year

Annual School Dance (at least 2 volunteers) Coordinates school-wide dance, traditionally held in the winter
