A Day in the Life of an HR Pro
This month marks my sixth year(!) of blogging about human resources, and I'm constantly looking for ways to offer content of interest back to the community. One idea I had recently was to profile some actual, "in the trenches" HR professionals like you as a way to shed some light on what we DO in HR all day (hint: it's not all rainbows and unicorns, but sometimes it can still be fun). This should only take 2-3 minutes to complete.

I am keeping it semi-anonymous (first name only), so I'm hoping that I can get some great responses to share with the community. Depending on how popular it is I might make it a regular series. I hope you participate!

What is your first name?
What is your job title?
Who is your employer OR what industry are you in?
If you don't want to share your employer name, feel free to put the general industry in here
How many years have you been with your current employer?
How long have you worked in HR?
Do you have any formal HR degrees, certificates, or certifications? If so, what?
In 3-5 sentences, tell me what your "average" day looks like.
I'm looking for job duties, peer interactions, or anything of that sort. For instance, "I usually spend half of my day interviewing candidates, at least an hour in meetings, and the rest of the time eating chocolate cookies." Be specific--remember, there's only one you! :-) Feel free to say what you like most/least if that's easier.
Your very own "one liner" of HR wit/wisdom. What will you share with the world?
This can be a simple piece of advice, a funny comment, or anything. I know us HR people love this kind of thing! :-) If you're stuck, imagine that you're talking with someone who is considering a career in HR.
