Now that you have been accepted to participate in one of our programs, it is always our strives, that at least, all participants should have a tangible plan or can set workable and measurable goals towards ensuring a change in our lives for the better.
Personal Development Plan and what it entails
A Personal Development Plan provides a firm rock that helps your dreams and desires stay in sight.

A good plan provides focus; it helps you map out a path towards your version of success; it allows you to make better decisions, and it prevents you from taking backwards steps. A good plan also allows you to strategies and get back on track when things do go wrong.

A clear plan is also beneficial for your mental health as a sense of purposefulness can often help reduce stress and anxiety.

As Jim Rohn, Personal Development Expert, said: “If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.”
Filling of Personal Development Plan
Remember, the PDP is your personal document, it is however recommended that a copy be held in Purple Hand Africa’s private and confidential Participant Development Folder, which are private and only accessible to a designated PHA Staff and sometimes partners, in case of reporting or attaching individuals to mentor(s).
Purple Hand Africa's Responsibilities
- Providing Advisory assistance to Participants on steps to take towards ensuring adherence to or achievement of PDP plans
- Follow ups and reviewing of plan together with participant
- Assigning participants to relevant mentors available to Purple Hand Africa or providing referrals to potential mentor(s)
Participant (My) Responsibilities
- Adhering to Personal Development Plan
- Providing feedback to PHA staff assisting you with your PDP
- Agreeing and attendance to every review date one on one meeting(s)
