Ramleela Victory Parade at Diwali Mela is wonderful opportunity to show your community togetherness in front of entire Dallas/DFW community and celebrate together the spirit of Diwali in the Diwali Mela 2023 @Cotton Bowl Stadium. We are looking for communities to participate in the Ramleela Victory Parade by registering their community group. The number of slots are limited as we want to diversify talent and represent all parts of India. Here are some guidelines:
- Parade participants must be identified and cannot be more than FIVE and less than FOUR.
- Parade participants must wear traditional clothes, have choreographed dance steps in the victory parade (10 minutes: pre-recorded music) following the Ram Parivar Pushpak Vimaan & Ram Leela cast & crew.
- All costumes, props, moves, etc. must be appropriate for a cultural and family audience.
- Any member from your group cannot be involved with any other performance at Diwali Mela that might conflict with their performance.
- Participation is free of charge, and there is no registration fee. We request the participants to sell/ bring 100 of their friends and family to the event. Please purchase your entrance tickets for the Diwali Mela. No parking pass will be provided to any groups.
ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS OR BY SEPTEMBER 25, 2023 MIDNIGHT CST, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. ONLY LIMITED SLOTS ARE AVAILABLE, SO REGISTER YOUR GROUP AT THE EARLIEST. REGISTRATION WILL BE CLOSED AFTER THE SLOTS ARE FILLED. The pre-recorded music for the parade will be shared to approved community leaders to practice after Sept. 25, 2023.
The RamLeela Victory Parade will start promptly after the end of Ramleela, & Ravan Dahan. All groups should arrive at the communicated time to check-in at the Victory Parade Registration desk before Ram Leela starts. Make sure all the participants are present at the time of check-in. Participation will be cancelled if participant do not take part in the practice sessions, get their costume & moves approved by the organization by Oct 15, 2023.
