Fallon Chess Society 2016-17 Attendance and Behavior Contract
Fallon Chess is led by parent volunteers, so places are limited. Students who have been given places should be committed to attending the program consistently. Without a valid reason, there is a limit of TWO absences.

Students are expected to participate during lessons and give effort during games. They are also expected to listen to their coaches, not disrupt lessons or matches with rowdy, loud behavior, or break chess rules such as cheat or give advice to players during a game.

Students will receive a verbal warning after the first incident. A second incident will result in the student's parent being contacted by cellphone or e-mail. After the third incident, students will be asked to leave the program. Depending upon circumstances, students may receive a refund pro-rated on the number of weeks left in program.

Finally, players in the Varsity teams are expected to participate in a minimum of 3 rated tournaments during the year, or the equivalent (i.e. Berkeley Chess School's Friday night matches).

Also, students who meet the qualifications for more than one enrichment program may be asked by the PFC Enrichment Committee to select their top choice and open a space for another student if there are waiting lists in some programs. (This does NOT apply to programs such as Fallon Chess that do not have waiting lists.)

By answering below, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to the above terms, and will ensure that my child attends, participates, and follows the rules of Fallon Chess Society. Thank you!
