Southern Catholic Schools Tournament Gore 2018.
Congratulations you have been selected to be a part in the Southern Catholic Schools Tournament (between Roncali, St Kevins, Kavanagh, St Peters, and Verdon). Team lists will are posted on the sports noticeboard, there are some clashes that the sports department will work through in the coming weeks and we will inform you of who you are playing for.

Because of the preseason timing of the tournament the timeline is very tight. Kavanagh will be sending teams for all sports- Netball, Basketball Boys and Girls , Football Boys and girls, Hockey Boys and Girls, and Rugby.

Dates: Sunday 8th April and Monday 9th April ( the start of the last week of term 1)
Students are to meet at Tennyson Street at 8.30.am on Sunday 8th April. (The Tournament starts at 11am for some sports.)
Estimated return time on Monday 9th April is 5pm.

Venue : St Peters College Gore

Transport : By Bus or School Van.

Accomodation: Eden View Camp 101 Scenic reserve RD Edendale( ph 03 2066464)

If a Student wants to stay with a relative or friend in Gore that is fine - please indicate this on the consent form below

Food:
Students will need to bring a packed lunch / drink for the Sunday, and plenty of their own snacks.
Dinner on Sunday and lunch on Monday will be provided by St Kevin’s and the cost of these meals is covered in the overall cost.
A basic breakfast will be provided on the Monday.

Staff:
Staff members will be managing / supervising each sport, and staying with the group.
A number of coaches and managers will also be in attendance.

Uniform:
All students are required to travel both to and from Gore in full and correct winter school uniform – including blazers for seniors.
This will also be required for the dinner on Sunday evening and for mass.

Because of the large size of the group we do not have enough tracksuits for every-one, therefore they won’t be issued / used for this trip.

Teams will obviously require their own playing uniform. Please remember your equipment for your sport, shoes , sticks, boots etc.


Please bring your own Sleeping bag and pillow, Toiletries, and towel.

Cost:
The cost for the tournament is $70 per student.
This covers transport, accommodation, the tournament entry fee which includes dinner and lunch, breakfast food and other incidentals. Please note the cost of transport is being subsidised by the College.
The $70 needs to be paid, or an arrangement made with the Bursar, before students can go to the tournament.
