Chaplain's Chili Contest Rules and Entry Form
Due 1 October 2023

  1. Bring or make at least two (2) quarts of chili for judging.   One will be for tasting, and if you make your chili on-site, we will auction off the 2nd quart.  
  2. No crockpots allowed - use roasters, hot plates, grills, etc. to make/warm chili at the event.
  3. No fillers - rice, macaroni, hominy, or similar items.  Beans are OK.
  4. Bring all your own supplies.
  5. All items must be labeled with your name and phone number.
  6. All chili entrants should be signed in by 11:00.  Judging begins at 11:30.  Winners will be announced on the stage at 12:00.
  7. Grills, roasters, chili pans, dishes, etc., must be picked up by 4:00.
Each chili will be judged on the following criteria:
  • Color
  • Aroma
  • Consistency (good meat and gravy combination)
  • Taste
