Canoe / Kayak Registration

IF YOU ARE PROVIDING YOUR OWN PADDLING CRAFT
Those wishing to participate in the Boat Parade with their canoe, kayak or other water craft are encouraged to fill out the registration form below. A minimum donation of $10 per person is requested to help the Bayou Vermilion District's efforts to keep the Vermilion clean and viable as a source of recreation for the citizens of Lafayette Parish. Those who donate will receive a diddy bag filled with goodies from local organizations as well as a Festival bracelet which allows you to receive discounts on food and beverage purchases. You can make your donation by clicking on the link below:

As a paddler you will have the option to row to Rotary Point boat launch, roughly about 3 miles from the parade starting point, or paddle all the way to Camellia Bridge canoe launch, roughly about 5.5 miles. There will be a complimentary shuttle service that will leave the Camellia Bridge Canoe Launch at 11 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to drop you off at Vermilionville. We encourage you to drop off your water craft in the morning at Vermilionville, check-in and then head to Camellia Bridge launch to park your car and wait for the shuttle service. We encourage you to take advantage of the shuttle service since there will not be a shuttle service to bring you back to Vermilionville following the parade.

IF YOU WISH TO RESERVE A CANOE/KAYAK FROM BAYOU VERMILION DISTRICT
