ReThink Respond
How often were your questions brushed off by adults when you were a kid?

How much misinformation did you get from the playground?

How little did we know about topics our kids already seem so clued up on?

We deserve to be as informed as we can about challenging topics that the 90s/00s didn't help us with, so that we can have more comfortable conversations with our children.

ReThink Respond is a new movement dedicated to empowering parents with the information, skills, myths and questions to tackle those challenging, and quite frankly, awkward conversations we find ourselves in with our kids.

As a parent, I know how easy it is to be thrown off. I know how challenging communication can be when a question comes flying at me at bedtime or as we're trying to get out of the house!

Some recent curveballs I've had:
• is sex just for having babies?
• how many old people get really ill?
• what does *insert various swear words* actually mean?

...to name a few!
As a PSHE teacher for over 10 years, I also know how varied the questions and perceptions can be in school, especially when they start with 'I saw on Tiktok...'

This 2 minute survey is designed to understand what issues we're facing and what ReThink Respond can do to support us and our young people in the future.

Thank you so much for taking the time to complete,

Katie @rethinkrespond
