More info:
The third edition of the European  Innovative Games Showcase is a collection of 5 minute microtalks, where creators present their experimental or innovative game or prototype to the audience. The speakers will be asked to focus on exactly what they think is the most remarkable part of their experiment or research. The showcase is curated to inlcude a wide variety of experimental games. Fields of experimentation in games can include, but is not limited to, gameplay, artstyle, production method or narrative.

In this session, the focus of the curated content will be on showing the attendees of GDC Europe some of the most innovative projects that are currently out there. These can be inspiring for developers, publishers or enthusiasts alike. Bringing all these projects and their creators together, will spark dialog about the state of video games as well as their future. It will create fertile ground for collaboration and knowledge sharing within the European and global games community. EIGS is not focused solely on gameplay, but allows for game related experiments of other kinds to be presented.

The session is organized by Lea Schönfelder and Jonatan Van Hove in close collaboration with the GDC Europe Advisory Board. The panel of international curators will be announced in the following months.
