The School of Education & Human Development's Office of Diversity & Inclusion is hosting our annual Spring Banquet on April 13, 2018 to acknowledge success and service in excellence, diversity, and inclusion. We will be honoring outstanding SEHD students this year and request that you make nominations in the following categories:
Outstanding Student Award
This award is presented to one SEHD undergraduate student who has demonstrated outstanding service, leadership, academic achievement during the 2017-2018 year, and is committed to serving the University community. The student will be evaluated using the following criteria:

- Academic performance

- Participation in on-campus and/or off-campus activities

- Work experience while attending college

- Other exceptional qualifications or service
 
- Leadership experience

Leadership Award
This recognition is given to a student who has shown extraordinary leadership during the 2017-2018 academic year at the University of Colorado Denver. The student will be evaluated using the following criteria:

- Commitment to promoting diversity within the School of Education
  and Human Development
 
- Demonstration of organizational leadership abilities by holding
  leadership positions either within or outside of the campus community
 
- Exhibition of interpersonal leadership skills by serving as a role model
  to the other students
 
- Utilization of leadership talents to initiate positive changes within
  the School of Education and Human Development
Community Service Award
This recognition is given to a SEHD student who has made outstanding contributions in community service during the 2017-2018 academic year at the University of Colorado Denver. The student will be evaluated using the following criteria:

- Contribution of significant volunteer time and service to an
  organization or in the community during the 2017-2018 academic
  year (service must be performed on a volunteer basis)
 
- Participation in activities that significantly benefit and improve
  the overall community experience

- Dedication to promoting equity and access to opportunity
