The following questions are almost exclusively Yes/No responses. If you don’t have a strong “gut reaction” to respond with, please take a second to think about it; ask yourself, “has this situation ever been true of my life or ministry career?”
These questions are intended for information gathering purposes only and are intended for current or former ministers or clergy (male or female), or their wives (male spouses of female ministers will find these questions are not relevant and are not being surveyed, currently. By taking this survey you are claiming that you have previously been, or are currently, involved as a “vocational church leader” in North America or are/were married to a person meeting that description. This assessment should not take more than a couple minutes and your responses are very valuable to us and the general health of American ministers in general.  If you/they are no longer in a current ministry role, if the survey doesn’t state otherwise, please read questions as they pertained to you when you were. Example: Do you have insufficient time with spouse? Yes/No –if you felt you had plenty of time when you were in ministry, but he now sells insurance and works 75+hours a week and you feel neglected, the proper answer is No, as the context relates to your time pastoring.
By "pastor" we mean to include pastor, priest, worship pastor, youth pastor, children’s pastor, associate pastor, minister, or other clergyman/clergywoman who has been employed in such a position as either paid or volunteer staff. If you hold an ordination/credential/license from any type of denomination but have never functioned in such a role then this description does not fit you. If you have held such a position of ministry leadership but have not held such credentials for the ministry from an ordaining body you DO fit the description of who we wish to survey. All answers are confidential and only your responses will be saved; we are not collecting any sort of data that can personally identify you.
