Meet at the parking lot (Free parking) of the San Joaquin Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary.
5 Riparian View, Irvine - Entrance via Campus Drive.
Directions: At the corner of University Drive and Campus Drive turn right onto Campus Drive (away from main campus). Stay in the right lane and immediately turn right onto Riparian View which is marked by a dark green sign identifying it as the entrance to the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary.
We will walk in the sanctuary. This walk is considered “easy” (approx. 3 miles).
Please bring water and sun protection.
It would be a good idea to bring binoculars if you have them since one of the main reasons for going there is to see the birds. Bird watching is a slow activity, hence the shorter distance.
