KMMF Call for Makers
Nepal Communitere, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy Nepal and World Vision’s Nepal Innovation Lab, is organizing the first Kathmandu Mini Maker Faire (KMMF) on September 24-25, 2016. The KMMF will bring together innovators from Nepal and abroad, and will highlight the kind of social innovation in Nepal that addressed community needs after the 2015 earthquake. The KMMF will showcase opportunities to leverage the Maker and DIY (Do-it- Yourself) movement, with a
unique focus on social and other needs-based innovation, to rebuild Nepal.

The Kathmandu Mini Maker Faire will convene entrepreneurs, makers, business people, as well as members of international and national nongovernmental organizations and government agencies.

The event will celebrate the Maker Movement – a movement that brings together tech innovators, tinkerers, and artisans – and showcase an array of new technologies and innovative projects that promote STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) learning.
