Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the LifeMoves Summer Camp!
Summer Adventure Camp is an on-site camp for children at LifeMoves sites for homeless families. Campers engage in fun, educational activities based on STEM and STEAM curricula. Activities happen on-site as well as weekly field trips to parks, museums, and performing arts. Camp dates are June 19 – August 4, 2017.

To be eligible a volunteer must:
- Be a high school student that has completed freshman year (you may apply now if you are a freshman and will be a rising sophomore this summer)
- Demonstrate ability to work with children ages 5-14
- Commit to a minimum of 2 full weeks of volunteering (may be non-consecutive weeks)
- Volunteer Monday-Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm during your scheduled volunteer weeks (modification to schedules may change due to field trips per site)
- Attend an orientation session with a parent/guardian
- Complete the full application packet

Responsibilities of the Camp Counselors include:
- Assist in organizing and planning activities, crafts, and games during the program
- Keep campers safe and accounted for at all times
- Maintain general order and consistency during the program
- Work effectively with other counselors, volunteers, staff and children
- Help ensure the safety of children while on field trips
- Report to Camp Directors and Children’s Services Coordinator regarding any issues and problems that may arise
- Abide by and enforce camp rules and LifeMoves policies
