What does it mean to give players or your audience control? This workshop will provide a rapid tour of interactive narrative experiences, from early parser-based adventure games to contemporary experimental and big-budget works. We'll consider different kinds of narrative structure and choice design, and how these principles can be explored and applied in other contexts.
