The training will utilize the K-State Office of Student Life's forthcoming "Faculty and Staff Guide for Students of Concern" and will focus on tips for successfully encountering students in distress or personal crisis; making appropriate helping referrals; establishing and communicating student behavioral expectations; employing strategies for anticipating, managing and minimizing learning environment disruptions and other student behavioral concerns.
