Volunteer code of conduct: As a volunteer I will operate with kindness and respect towards my fellow volunteers. I will respect my team's time by showing up to meetings on time and by following through on tasks that I have committed to. I agree to communicate frequently and openly with my team, especially if I cannot complete a task. I will complete tasks with attention to detail and produce quality results. I will ask for help when I need it and be open to giving and receiving feedback. Most importantly, I am joining the WiDS planning team because I care deeply about the mission of WiDS and building community. WiDS Mission: The WiDS initiative aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and to support women in the field. The WiDS Puget Sound Conference is an annual satellite event and a grassroots initiative to gather community in the local greater-Seattle area. The conference supports professional growth via networking, speaking opportunities and personal development sessions. This conference highlights the scope of data related work in our region with an emphasis on the important role of women in data related fields.
