Petition in Support of Improved Intersection Safety
Our local community appreciates the intersection at Abington, Woodlawn, and Kenmore Avenues as a critical thoroughfare, but the current layout poses a threat to both pedestrians and drivers, while devaluing the appeal of our neighborhood. Children are walking home from school but don't know where to cross or look for cars because they come from all directions. Those who have lived here for decades have had many near crashed when people didn't know where to direct their car when turning.

This petition aims to advocate for a neighborhood improvement project that reduces asphalt surfaces and introduces conducive walkways.

In partnership with the township and the Greater Glenside Civic Association, residential support will advance planning and a redesign that emphasizes walkability. Once signatures are gathered here, we will work with stakeholders and partners to determine best steps for creating a more appealing intersection.

Decreasing the surface area for vehicles and creating walkways will not only enhance the safety of our neighborhood but also improve aesthetics. Join the campaign by signing the petition for a safer, more beautiful intersection at Abington, Woodlawn, and Kenmore. Please sign this petition below!

Upon collecting enough signatures via this form, a community meeting may be coordinated to discuss further steps towards realizing this project with the township.

Not sure an update is needed? We'd love to hear your thoughts! Email us at info@glensidecivic.org with any comments or concerns. Let's make our community safer together.

Sincerely,
