Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! There are many different opportunities to volunteer during school hours and for before and after-school community events. Book Fair - Help support our wonderful KSPTA Annual Book Fair. Help with set up check out, help students find books, and more!

Earth Day (Spring) - Help organize or assist with Zero Waste inspired stations for our wonderful annual Earth Day Celebration!

Game Room - Alternative Lunch recess option for students. Help supervise at lunch recess while students play board games. Fingerprinting may be required

Garden - 1st Grade. Feb - April 2024.  1st Graders have the opportunity to engage in the lovely Miwok Garden for a 6 week, parent-lead Garden Unit. The simple and fun curriculum is already set, we are looking for 1st Grade parents interested helping each weekly 30min session for your child's class.

Graphic Design - Do you have a graphic design background? PTA would love your help with easy/quick imaging for events, website and other comms.

Halloween Parade (10/31)- This is an annual event that takes place during school hours on Halloween. We help to advertise to the community and immediate neighbors. Other tasks may include coordinating with the fire department and classroom organization.

Hospitality - Join the hospitality team and support organizing monthly staff breakfasts and parent coffees.

Library Volunteer  (All Year) - Help with your child's weekly library time - checking in/out books, shelving, and helping students find books; requires weekly/biweekly commitment

Library " Behind the Scenes" Volunteer - Does not require a regular commitment

KSPTA Readathon - Join the Readathon team to create a fun-filled, memorable Readathon day celebrating our students’ reading development while raising essential funding  for the KSPTA!  Readathon will be in March 2024.

Safe Routes To School / Walk & Roll - Join our team and the county wide effort to get kids to walk or bike safely to school. We need volunteers to help organize monthly 'Walk-n Roll to school' dates throughout the year.

Volunteer Last Minute - Be on a list of volunteers to reach out for help with last minute volunteering needs.

Wait Until 8th - Join our team of parent leaders and help spread the word to families about Wait Until 8th. Wait Until 8th is KSPTA supported initiative that supports waiting until at least 8th Grade to get your child a smartphone. More information at kspta.org and waituntil8th.org
