Funds to support the programs are raised through the San Diego Festival of the Arts (formerly the La Jolla Festival of the Arts). As one of the top rated festivals in the United States, the Festival has been successful primarily due to the thousands of hours devoted by the Torrey Pines Kiwanis members, their families, volunteers and the generosity of its sponsors and awarding winning artists. Their dedication, sacrifice and hard work are the reasons why funds are available to programs like yours.
You may apply for the 2017 grant by submitting the Torrey Pines Kiwanis Foundation Program Funding Request form and support information on or before October 7, 2016. Please be very specific regarding your organization’s activities, mission and the specific use of the funds.
We receive numerous grant requests each year. We strongly feel that every charitable program like yours is very important to our community. It is, therefore, a very difficult decision to determine which programs will be supported. Our funding is dependent on the success of the Festival.
This invitation to submit an application should not be interpreted as a promise to grant funds to your program. Final funding decisions will be made by the Torrey Pines Kiwanis Foundation Board of Directors.
If funding is granted, the recipient organization will be asked to actively support the Torrey Pines Kiwanis Club/Foundation fundraiser, the San Diego Festival of the Arts. Please see http://www.sdfestivalofthearts.org/ The Festival will be held June 10 and 11, 2017. Applicants will be notified by December 2016. Approved grants will be distributed during August and September, 2017, following the Festival.
