Theory Jobs 2026

The Theory community has a tradition of a crowdsourced spreadsheet of sharing who has accepted which jobs.

You can report jobs accepted via this form (anonymous), and view the results on this sheet. If you feel a change needs to be made to the results reported in the form, please email me or fill out this other form (also anonymous, unless you choose to identify yourself).

The rules are as follows:

  • You are welcome to add yourself, or people your department has hired.
  • Hires should be connected to theoretical computer science, broadly defined.
  • Only add jobs that you are absolutely sure have been offered and accepted. This is not the place for speculation and rumors. Please, be particularly careful when adding senior hires (people who already have an academic or industrial job) -- end dates of their current positions might be still in the future.
To keep this list focused around theory, mild curation will be applied: individuals should have publications at theory-centric conferences such as STOC, FOCS, SODA, ICALP, STACS, COLT, CRYPTO, CCC, ITCS, etc., or publications of a similar style. If you don't meet this criterion, but still identify as a theorist/theoretician (at least partially), please email me (ideally, with a sentence or two of explanation) at g@csail.mit.edu and I'll include you, no further questions asked.
