The video camera is not just a recording device, but is a complex tool for linguistic experimentation through choreography and dance. Participants will be guided through a series of physical practices and theoretical discussion to train their observation on movements, exploring the concept of framing as a compositional and choreographic exercise, in order to understand the various possibilities and the dialogue between camera and dance.
The masterclass is dedicated to dancers, performers, choreographers, theater and film directors, directors of photography, and visual artists who want to explore the dance film genre. Students from academies with a profile in dance, theater, film, and visual arts are encouraged to participate.
Participation in the masterclass is free of charge. However, filling in the form doesn't guarantee your spot. Due to limited seating, the BIDFF team reserves the right to select who attends the workshop. In case you'll be selected, you'll receive a confirmation e-mail with more details about the masterclass.
By attending this event, you consent to being photographed and/or filmed. The images will be used to promote the festival on various media channels, without commercial purpose.
