Summer Quest starts with Quiet Day at 9am Friday May 30. For those who do not register for Quiet Day, the weekend starts Friday at 4pm and lasts through Sunday morning June 1. People who are driving in from a distance for Quiet Day may wish to stay overnight at Camp Mitchell Thursday May 29, paying a small fee for the extra night. There are several different registration options, so we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the whole weekend's arrangements so you can choose the registration option that works best for you. Scholarships are available, but please apply early; we don't want cost to prevent anyone from attending.
Together with the Rev. Dr. Joanna Seibert, Ilyse Howard, and Joyce Dalton, the Rev. Teresa Cantrell will lead Quiet Day, starting Friday at 9am. Quiet Day will wrap up at 3pm, and registration for people not attending Quiet Day will open at 4pm on Friday May 30. We will host a reception at 5pm, followed by dinner at 6pm. At 7pm, our featured speaker, Kathy Culmer, will deliver an introductory session. Compline will follow. Please note that lunch will only be served to people who registered for Quiet Day.
On Saturday May 31, we will gather at 8:30am for Breakfast with the Bishop. People who attend only Saturday will register from 8-8:30am. We will celebrate Eucharist at 10am, and Kathy Culmer will hold her second session from 11am-12:30pm. We will break for lunch at 12:30pm, and Kathy will deliver her final session starting at 1:30pm. At 3:30pm, attendees will have several options: attend a workshop or do a self-guided activity such as go for a walk or simply take a break. To give people the opportunity to do more than one workshop, a second workshop session will start at 4:15pm, again with the option of doing one's own thing. A reception will be held at 5:30pm, and dinner will follow at 6pm. After dinner, attendees can join the campfire with songs and s'mores or simply hang out. People who are attending only Saturday will be heading for home after dinner.
On Sunday June 1, we will have breakfast at 8:30am and Eucharist at 9:30am. Cabins and rooms will need to be vacated by 10:45am in order to give staff time to prepare for Summer Camp.
Please note that costs to use camp have risen, but we have genuinely tried our best to keep our registration prices low while still providing you with a great experience. By doing our own online registration, ECW is absorbing the transaction fees rather than having you pay Eventbrite's charges. Checks are very welcome, and we will need to receive your check as soon as practical after you register in order to hold your bed. For the sake of our planning and that of Camp Mitchell staff, payment must be received by May 15.
As you know, accommodations with linens are very limited. If you have registered for accommodations with linens and there are none left (we will try to remove this option as soon as we see those beds are full), we will let you know so that you can decide if you want to stay in a cabin (with a $40 refund) or off-site at the Holiday Inn in Morrilton, where we have reserved a block of rooms.
New this year: block reservations are possible, in which case we request that your group pay with one check and provide the names of all the attendees in your group. The earlier you book and pay, the better your chances of getting the space you want. We are offering Log Cabin (no linens accommodation) and Canterbury (accommodation with linens) as spaces for block reservations. Log Cabin has 7 lower bunks on each side of the building (total of 14 lower bunks), and Canterbury sleeps 16 people in rooms with 2 twin beds (one room), 3 twin beds (two rooms) or 4 twin beds (two rooms).
If you wish to stay off campus, we have booked a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn in Morrilton. Call 501-215-4924 to reserve a room using the code "ECW." A Double Queen room is $119/night + tax. This special hotel rate expires on May 16 or when the block of rooms is filled. If you are lodging away from Camp Mitchell, register by choosing Option 6 or 7, depending on whether or not you are attending Quiet Day or not.
Please make all checks payable to Arkansas ECW and mail to Susan Moore, PO Box 120, Heber Springs, AR 72543. If you are paying online, please look for an email confirming your registration after you submit this form. It will have a link taking you to the Square site where you can pay for your registration and tshirt with your credit or debit card. This confirmation email may have gone to your spam folder, so please check there if you don't see it.
Full refunds are available until May 15, and after that a $50 cancellation fee will be charged. Please let us know as soon as you can if your plans change.

Option 10. Weekend meal package only for vendors. $80. Includes meals from Friday lunch to Saturday dinner and is required for vendors attending Summer Quest but not registering as attendees.
* Linens refers to staying in retreat-style accommodations where bed linens, pillows and towels are provided. Examples are Grace and Canterbury. No linens refers to staying in more basic accommodations where campers bring their own linens (sheets, blanket, pillow, towels) and sleep in a lower bunk bed in a cabin (Seibert, Howe or Log).
