Welcome.
The Community Taylor Yard Equity Strategy (TYES) is an initiative dedicated to ensuring that the 100-acre projects at Taylor Yard in Northeast LA (NELA) benefit longtime residents and local businesses.
The 100-acre projects are developing the largest, continuous open space along the Los Angeles River at the historic railyard, and our goal is to empower NELA communities to thrive in place for generations to come. New parks can and should be engines of shared opportunity, not displacement.
NELA communities are a vital part of helping to shape the Taylor Yard Equity Strategy, requiring that we keep residents engaged and informed.
By signing up here, you’ll receive occasional updates about:
- Ways to share your voice and shape what happens next
- Resources for housing equity, anti-displacement strategies, and community access to green space
- Policy news and local issues affecting NELA communities
- Opportunities for NELA residents and small businesses
- Progress on the 100-acre Taylor Yard park
- Stories from NELA’s rich history and vibrant present
This is your opportunity to actively engage and build a future where longtime Northeast LA residents can stay rooted in their communities.
