2019 YNPN RVA Committee Interest Form
The Young Nonprofit Professionals Network RVA (YNPN RVA) is looking for 2019 committee members to serve on the leadership team! Joining a YNPN RVA committee is a unique and special opportunity to develop valuable leadership, strategic, and nonprofit management skills, and form strong connections to other nonprofit YPs.

YNPN RVA’s mission is to cultivate a community of future nonprofit leaders through networking and professional development opportunities that build on individual strengths and talents. We envision a rising generation of diverse, empowered, and highly engaged nonprofit leaders that will work collaboratively to strengthen our sector, and in turn, the Richmond region.

We need volunteers for the following committees:

• Programs Committee: Responsible for planning, organizing and executing all events and other public activities.
• Communications Committee: Responsible for developing, coordinating and executing all communications and marketing.
• Membership Committee: Responsible for developing membership benefits and recruiting and cultivating relationships with members.

Committees typically have between 5-8 members, recruited predominantly from the Richmond nonprofit sector. Committee members are not expected to currently work for a nonprofit but should have significant experience with and commitment to supporting YPs working in the sector.

This minimum one-year commitment also comes with the opportunity to advance to board-level positions within YNPN RVA. Committee members are expected to:

• attend leadership orientation (one evening in Dec), all committee meetings (1/month) and YNPN RVA events (1/month)
• become a 2019 member of YNPN RVA
• share committee work and responsibilities outside of meetings, such as researching and planning events, promoting events, developing and executing recruitment plans, etc (work varies by committee).

This application closes November 12th. Applicants will be screened and contacted by YNPN RVA board members regarding next steps.
