Please answer the 'Justice Involving Volunteers in Europe' (JIVE) survey: The role and value of volunteers within organisations working with (ex)offenders and in prisons in Europe
This survey has been designed to give us an understanding of how and why European organisations working with (ex) offenders, victims and families use volunteers in civic engagement, and perhaps help us to see how we can be even more effective. For clarity (and for the broadest reach) we include in the term 'voluntary organisation' any charity, NGO, Third Sector organisation or social enterprise which benefits from the work of volunteers.
Please give us 20 minutes of your time to collect this vital data, and/or forward on to a colleague who could. There are opportunities in the survey to leave your email, if you would like to stay updated on the results.
In this survey, we use a broad definition of voluntary work as ’CIVIC ENGAGEMENT WITHOUT PAY‘. Given the diverse historical, cultural and social contexts of the organisations who engage with volunteers, we expect to see equally diverse examples of implementation in the different countries within Europe. We note that little research currently exists in this field and the research will move the agenda forward.
