Why would you be a good representative for the Pharmacy Graduate Students? Please include relevant experiences.
Below you will be able to choose what positions you are applying for. Here is a simplified description of the positions available. Please keep in mind that these are templates and that the new PhGA executive will determine the scope of their roles based on the current needs of the students as they best see fit.
President - manages the executive team, hosts meetings, attends Pharmacy council meetings, attends GSA departmental meeting,  attends Graduate Studies and Research Council meetings. Works with all executive members to ensure major events run smoothly.

Vice-President Operations -  books meeting spaces, organizes with the School of Pharmacy to ensure that events have the appropriate resources (e.g., fill out event form), works with the VP Communications and VP Finance to ensure that events are well managed. Works with all executive members to ensure major events run smoothly.

Vice-President Communications - manages social media platforms, email blasts, newsletters etc. Communicates about upcoming events and initiatives to the graduate students, faculty, and other community members. Works with VP Operations and VP Finance to ensure events are well managed. Works with VP of Student Affairs to ensure that events are well attended. Works with the PharmClub chair to increase the visibility of the workshops and initiatives led by PharmClub. Works with all executive members to ensure major events run smoothly.

Vice-President Finance, Treasurer - manages the finances of the group. Secures financing from School of Pharmacy, the GSA/GSEF, or outside sponsors to ensure that events and initiatives are adequately funded. Works with the VP of Operations and VP Communications to ensure that sponsors are well represented at events according to their agreements with the PhGA. Works with all executive members to ensure major events run smoothly.

Vice-President, Student Affairs -  hosts weekly office hours to meet with students. Engages with students regularly to increase engagement at events and to ensure that all students' needs are met. Attends GSA departmental meeting. Works with all executive members to ensure major events run smoothly.

PharmClub Chair -  Organizes and hosts workshops, WaterlooWrites Pharmacy group, journal clubs and other scholarly pursuits that are in the best interests of students. Works with the VP of Student Affairs to ensure that PharmClub events are meeting the goals of students. Works with the VP of Operations for ensuring that required rooms and resources are obtained for PharmClub events/initiatives. Works with VP of Communications to ensure visibility of the initiatives of PharmClub. Works with all executive members to ensure major events run smoothly.
