These are the times you need to be here. It's important to commit to all sessions so you learn the songs and are ready to record. One of the most important things in the music industry is showing up on time, and being ready, willing and full of energy.

  9 April: 2:30- 6:30
10 April: : 2:30- 6:30
 11 April: 2:30- 6:30
12 April: : 11:00- 3:00 allocated for recording, and 3:00- 6:00 to hang out, eat, party and sing your heart out on our mics.

We ask that you bring a packed lunch or money for lunch. Pizza, wings, chips and soft drinks provided on the last day. That will be after your recording. There will be a studio available for you to carry on singing and hanging out with your new friends.

We are mainly recruiting from Hackney Secondary Schools but will consider dedicated participants from other London boroughs or anyone who is home schooled.

The aim of the Half Term Voice Jam is to have fun singing in harmony, and learning all the parts of harmony, with others in a group. It is led by vocal coach Clive Brown, who has vast experience in leading the jams and other choirs.
There will be vocal warm ups and exercises, working through two popular songs (these will be chosen by the participants) and these songs will be recorded with a keyboard and backing track in our recording studio on the final day. Professionalism is expected at all times.
We would ask everyone to conduct themselves as they would in a paid for recording session, and that everyone will have learned the lyrics and their parts by recording day.
