OHW21 project proposal form
Welcome to the exciting collaborative project component at OHW21!

Interested in pitching your project ideas and form a group? In this form we will walk you through a few key questions to set up a great project, and a few additional ones that are useful to think through as your project plan starts to take shape.

Please submit this form before the start of Day 2, so that fellow participants will have a chance to read about them and choose a project to join.

Once your project and team is formed, please create a project repository (naming convention ohw21-proj-PROJECTNAME) and write a brief project summary in the README.md. This form also serves as a template for the information you may want to have in that summary. :)

Project title: Brief title describing the proposed project.
Project summary: A one sentence summary of what this project aims to achieve. The Title+Summary combination would be super useful to grab people's attention when you pitch the idea in the #ohw21-project channel. We found it very useful to dream big but be somewhat narrowly focused in a given project, being mindful about the compressed project work time during OHW. (BUT, we have had projects that continued to develop beyond a single OHW! So you're absolutely welcome to plan for that.)
Project personnel: List all leads and participants on the project.
Specific tasks: List the specific tasks you want to accomplish and/or if you have links to GitHub issues, add them here. A bullet point list is usually very helpful, as down the line it helps distribute and keep track of work each member of the project team is engaged in.
Data sets and infrastructure support: List any external data sets, particularly large ones, that you need for the project, as well as other infrastructure support such as libraries that needs to be included in the Hub -- if the project will be worked on using Hub resources (vs local machine). Feel free to ping @help-infrastructure if you want to discuss these with the infrastructure team.
Thank you for filling out the above key questions. The questions in the next section are optional but may be useful for thinking through the project setup.
