Jodi Titus Biographical Sketch
My geography education for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees is from Cal State Fullerton. I began teaching full-time at Irvine Valley College in August of 2005. Currently, I serve as department chair and faculty advisor for three ASIVC student groups: Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Geography Club and Green Team Alliance. I have always enjoyed supporting student interests and activities. I also serve as the Faculty Lead for the Sustainability and Resource Management Program. Previously, I was the Curriculum Chair for the Academic Senate for three years, so I appreciate anyone who can write an excellent course outline of record! And presently, I serve on their Environmental Leadership Committee.  I am a native Angelino and love teaching geography in southern California! We are so fortunate to be geographers in a state as diverse and unique in both physical and cultural landscapes. I don’t remember what year I joined the CGS Board, but I can’t remember not being involved with CGS! I value the opportunities and support this organization provides students as well as faculty and I look forward to continuing to help CGS grow. When I am not busy with work, I enjoy spending time with family, including my beagle and rescue cat, and friends (many who happen to be geographers!) and of course traveling and photography. Thank you for your consideration and vote.

Scott Crosier Biographical Sketch
Scott Crosier has been teaching geography and GIS here in California for over 10 years, first teaching adjunct at several colleges in Southern California and now full time at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento. Prior to joining Academia, Scott worked as the GIS manager at an engineering firm and as a technical writer for ESRI.
Scott enjoys kayaking and hiking anywhere from sea to summit throughout the state and is ever searching for the “best” breakfast burrito. At home, Scott keeps busy raising four children, as well as some chickens, goats, and a garden. Scott has served for several years as a CGS board member, developing the annual conference schedule and would be honored to serve in the capacity of Vice President.

Matthew Derrick Biographical Sketch
Matthew Derrick is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at Humboldt State University. Responsible for teaching a range of human geography and research-oriented courses, he specializes in political-cultural geography; his primary research agenda investigates the relationship between territory and religious/national identity in Russia (particularly among the country’s Muslim groups) and the former Soviet Union. Matt has been a member of the California Geographical Society since his first year at HSU (2011-2012), attending and presenting research at each of the organization’s conferences in that time period. At last year’s conference in Los Angeles, he was proud to announce that Humboldt would host this year’s conference, and since then he has taken a leading role in organizing the event. Matt likes to spend his spare time cycling and exploring the wonders of California’s north coast.
