Best Fitting Bras

This section asks you to provide the size(s) of your best fitting bras. By cross referencing your measurements and actual bra size, we hope to narrow down which measurement(s) are the most helpful in helping other transwomen find their correct bra sizes.

To consider a bra that fits, your bra band should be level all the way around your torso (e.g., not ride up in the back) and not be able to pulled away from your torso by more than 1-2 inches. Fitting cups should contain all breast tissue without any spillage or gaping (see this resource for signs of a good/bad fit: http://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/fit_guide#wiki_signs_of_a_good.2Fpoor_fit).

Fit Issues

We hope to identify any trends that the transwoman community faces in bra fitting. Unfortunately, many of the women who post measurement checks do not post follow-up checks so we're not sure which fit issues are most common.

As you answer these questions, please consider your fitting experience in bras that should be your correct size or close to your correct size.

What fit issues do you encounter when trying on bras?

Hormone Replacement Therapy

We suspect that progression in HRT may impact how much the ABTF methods overestimate cupsize. If you feel comfortable answering these questions, please do. If you are not comfortable answering these questions, please skip ahead to the next section.
