Sometimes, life gives us opportunities to learn and grow, even when we make mistakes. Missing the original deadline for your work-study application was a setback, but being given a second chance is a powerful moment to reflect and act.

In 300-500 words, write an essay that answers the following questions:

Reflection: What led to the delay in submitting your application, and how do you feel about it now?
Growth: What have you learned about responsibility, time management, and personal accountability through this experience?
Commitment: If selected for the work-study opportunity, how will you ensure you meet expectations and deadlines moving forward?
Do you understand and agree to the following conduct terms:

All schedule changes need to be pre-approved by Career Work Study Coordinator. The following will result in a $20 per day stipend deduction:

The following will all result in a $10 per day stipend deduction:
Late or incomplete work. Late to Career Work Study meetings, site or leaving early. Inappropriate workplace or meeting behavior. Failure to maintain professional hygiene. Failure to provide a daily journal entry, self-evaluations, and/or time logs completed in the binder by check out time the last day of each program week. Lack of satisfactory participation or a poor Site Supervisor evaluation.Termination by Site Supervisor. Falsification of documents. Misconduct during the Summer Program.

All UB/UBMS Program rules, regulations and policies, which were signed on the 2025-2026 Student Agreement, will continue to be enforced throughout Career Work Study and the Summer Program.
