Propose an Event/Activity/Service for Beth Israel!
We at Beth Israel Congregation of Peterborough are working hard to organize events of interest to the community. The Ritual Committee has organized High Holiday and monthly events for 2025 - 26. With your help, we can add to this amazing program! Please let us know what event(s), activities or services you would like to add to this list for June, 2025 - June, 2026 (inclusive). Proposals will be received by the BIC Events Committee via this form until Friday, March 28th.

We will prioritize events that:
  • Contribute to a diversity of offerings (events, activities, services) at BIC
  • Are budget-friendly/ appropriate costing (last year’s budget was $8,000, total, for said events), and
  • Are feasible, and can be incorporated into the calendar of existing (and hoped for) events and other work that we have.
Our Mission
The purpose of Beth Israel Congregation is to serve the spiritual and cultural needs of the Jewish population of Peterborough and its environs. We provide a place of worship open to all those who subscribe to the Jewish faith, and a meeting place for expression of Jewish cultural life.
The Congregation is egalitarian, motivated by a spectrum of community interests and spiritual aspirations. We are welcoming of all genders, cultures, races, abilities, neurotypes, sexual orientations, political beliefs, faiths, and income levels. We recognize that we have a responsibility to work proactively to make this a place of welcome to those who are traditionally marginalized.
