BOE Public Comment Request Form

Meetings of the Board of Education are held to conduct the business of the school system. In accordance with the Greene County Board of Education's Policy for Public Participation in Board Meetings (BCBI), approved September 18, 2025, all members of the public must follow the Rules of Conduct outlined in the policy. There are two ways to participate in public comment:

1. Advance Registration
Individuals who wish to speak during the “Public Comments: Advance Registration section of a regular Board meeting must complete and submit this Public Comment Request Form at least 24 hours before the meeting. Comments must relate to a specific item on the Discussion or Action Agenda. The form for Advance Registration may be submitted online or printed and delivered in person to:

Approved speakers will have up to three minutes to present their comments, with a maximum of five speakers for the Discussion Agenda and five for the Action Agenda (30 minutes total). 
     
2. On-site Registration
Those who wish to speak but choose not to register in advance using this form may sign up to speak during the Public Comments: On-Site Registration section of the agenda.
  • Registration opens 30 minutes before the Board convenes and closes 5 minutes prior to the start.
  • Speakers are not required to address a specific agenda item, but all comments must relate to Board business.
  • Each speaker is allotted two minutes.
  • A maximum of five speakers is allowed (10 minutes total).
  • Registration is first-come, first-served.
