We are so grateful for the continuous outpouring of support for Oakland Workers Fund! We love to see folks inspired to support through their energy, art, creations and labor!

Fundraising on behalf of us is something that requires community, mutual trust and consent! We have seen tons of folks tagging us, claiming that by buying their items, folks will be directly donating to Oakland Workers Fund because they are giving a portion or the entirety of proceeds to us, but many times those claims have not been followed through on.

Folks who have successfully fundraised for us have checked in with us first, asked for consent to fundraise on our behalf, let us know the price points they were selling items for and the amount of profit they expect to make (after their costs, taxes when applicable etc) and then let us know a timeline for when they expected to be able to send funds our way.

Another option in lieu of working *with* us to fundraise is to have folks donate to OWF themselves and then send proof of the donation to the artist/vendor (you) in order to receive the product. This way, the funds go directly to OWF without having to have an intermediary step. Please still notify OWF about this effort and never use our name without consent.
