I understand that my child or children will be participating in the 2024 Bikes, Books and Badges Bicycle Rodeo Event being held on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 (Saturday, June 15th RAIN DATE) from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts.  I understand that my child will be participating in this event with other Findlay City and Hancock County students, local city and county employees, area cycling enthusiasts and other safety minded volunteers.  I also understand that participation in this event is strictly voluntary.

I have read, understand and have discussed with my child or children the following:

1.       Participants are expected to follow the instructions of volunteers and other individuals that are hosting this event.

2.       Participants are expected to respect each other, equipment and materials that are provided to them, and the volunteers in charge of the event.

3.       Participants will be riding bicycles throughout the event and onto public streets in and around the event site.  Adults will be leading the rides and helmets are to be worn during all riding portions of the event.

I have discussed with my child or children the importance of following directions and safety procedures that will be outlined by the volunteers in charge of this event. 

It is understood that participation by my child is not required, but I grant permission for him/her to do so, despite any possible risks.  I recognize that by participating in this event, my child may risk personal injury as any physical activity involving bicycles includes risks.  

By completing this form, I hereby waive and release any and all rights and claims for injury or damages resulting from this event.  I also agree to hold harmless the sponsors of this event and property owner for any and all injuries suffered by me or my child while participating in this event.
