Applications for the Teaching Scholars Program are now open to all full-time faculty members of any rank. Preference will be given to faculty members who hold the terminal degree in their discipline. The primary goal of this program is to support faculty in the design, implementation, and assessment of scholarly projects that identify and create significant learning environments. Selection is made by the Scholarship of Learning an Teaching Committee of the Center for Teaching and Learning.

Criteria for selection include:
- Commitment to high quality teaching
- Commitment to a scholarly examination of student learning
- Level of interest in the program, potential for contributions to the program
- Plans for use during and after the award
