Thanks for your interest in civic engagement at Elon University! The Civic Engagement Ambassadors are part of Elon Votes!, a non-partisan initiative to increase voter registration and turnout, civic participation, and general political knowledge around campus. In order to transform campus culture, we want to spread awareness and make productive conversation accessible to all members of our community. The Civic Engagement Ambassadors are a much needed coalition of student to support our mission.

The role of the Civic Engagement Ambassador looks different depending on the semester. For the Fall of 2024, our Civic Engagement Ambassadors will be asked to attend meetings to promote community and discussion amongst fellow ambassadors, undergo trainings on voter registration and how to navigate commonly asked questions, and remain updated on expectations for the role. Other commitments include holding a minimum of two (2) office hours a week in our downstairs Moseley office, tabling at College Coffee and Speakers Corner, and helping staff events hosted by Elon Votes! and the Council on Civic Engagement including Voter Registration Drives, Absentee Ballot Events, and Watch Parties.
