PACU ANNUAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY, ELECTION, AND RATIFICATION OF ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION 

COMMUNICATION No. 06, s. 2025-2026

TO: ALL PRESIDENTS OF PACU MEMBER SCHOOLS

RE: PACU ANNUAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY, ELECTION, AND RATIFICATION OF ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION

Greetings!

The Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU) will hold its Annual General Assembly and Election on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Sheraton Ballroom, Sheraton Manila Hotel, Pasay City. This year’s theme is Rooted in Wisdom and Humanity, Ready for the Future: Sustainability and Resilience in an AI-Driven World.”

A copy of the program, including the agenda, is attached for your information and easy reference (Annex “A”).

Please take note of the following reminders relative to the PACU General Assembly, Election, and Ratification of Articles of Incorporation on September 26, 2026:

1.    The Board of Trustees will be elected online through Election Buddy.

1.1.    A copy of the Guidelines on online voting is attached for your information and easy reference (Annex “B”).

1.2.  Only active members who have paid their Membership Dues for School Year 2025-2026 on or before 11 September 2026 (Friday), 5:00 pm, are entitled to vote for the PACU Board of Trustees members. A reminder letter regarding the payment of dues is attached for your reference (Annex “C”). 

1.3.    Each member school should designate an Official Representative authorized to vote on its behalf.

1.4.  The PACU member school’s Chairman of the Board of Directors or the School President is automatically presumed to be its official representative (PACU official representative). As such, the PACU official representative who registered automatically receives the unique code for the elections.  

1.5.    If the member school’s Chairman or President cannot attend the General Assembly, he/she may designate an alternate representative to officially represent the school in the elections, provided an Authorization form is submitted on or before 11 September 2026 (Friday), 5:00 pm. The AUTHORITY TO VOTE IN 2026 GENERAL ASSEMBLY form is attached to this notice for your reference as Annex “D.” The official alternate representative will receive the unique code for the elections until 26 September 2026 (Saturday), 8:00 am.

1.6.    Should a school choose to withdraw itself from being voted for as a trustee, it must submit a Notice of Withdrawal via email to the PACU Secretariat on or before 5:00 pm on Friday, 11 September 2026 (Please see Annex “E).

2. REGISTRATION FEE: P 4,000.00 per participant (to defray expenses for the event, such as AM/PM snacks and Lunch, venue rental, LED wall, audiovisual set-up, and event highlights documentation)

3. We will send another communication containing the General Assembly Meeting documents.

4. Hotel accommodation can be booked at the following PACU corporate rates: (1) Single Occupancy - P 9,742.44 net per room per night; and (2) Double Occupancy - P 10,549.14 net per room per night (inclusive of breakfast) between September 26 and September 27, 2026. 5. Please register by completing the Google form below. For institutions with more than one (1) participant, please fill out the registration form again. The Registration deadline is Friday, September 11, 2026.

6. Payment. Please make your check payable to the PHILIPPINE ASSOCIATION OF COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES, INC. You may deposit your payment in our Security Bank Acct—no. 0381-009093-001. Kindly send a copy of the deposit slip to pacusecretariat@gmail.com so the funds transfer can be correctly identified.

7.    Privacy Notice. There will be both visual and audio recordings of the General Assembly, as required by the Securities and Exchange Commission. PACU will collect and record information from the PACU General Assembly and Election registration form on September 26, 2026. PACU will not share personal data with third parties, except for the names of the participating schools, their business addresses, official email addresses, and as may be reasonable, necessary, required, or authorized under the law. Personal data collected from this form shall be retained for one (1) year from the date of acquisition. As far as practicable and subject to applicable laws, rules, and regulations, you may request that your data be deleted from PACU’s system within a reasonable time frame after the request.
