2025-26 Junior Scholars Workshop application

The SHA Professional Development Committee is excited to announce the continuation of the Junior Scholars Workshop program. We meet virtually on Zoom each month during the academic year. Meetings are held at 4:30 PM ET on the third Thursday of the month. At each meeting, we discuss the work of an advanced graduate student or early career professional, with two senior scholars on hand to provide detailed comments.

Presenters who are accepted to the 2025-26 JSW cohort will be expected to attend each of the monthly workshops throughout the academic year. Our hope is that this cohort system will serve to enrich the JSW experience for presenters and attendees alike. Participants will be recognized at the 2025 annual meeting in St. Pete Beach.

For the purposes of the JSW, "junior scholar" is defined as someone who has not yet published an academic monograph.

The deadline is May 1.
