Mountaineering Award: Organization of the Year

This award is given in recognition of the club/organization that has made a significant impact on the campus community. This club exemplifies student participation and leadership by offering creative programs, fundraisers, community service, opportunities for membership, and programs that aid in the personal development of its members.

The Mountaineering Award has been established to recognize the contributions of student organizations to the Georgia Regents University community. The committee will consider the nomination based on the following criteria: organization activity since August 20, 2012, campus involvement, leadership development, programs/events (including number of events, quality of events, and target audience), membership recruitment and retention efforts, publicity and promotional efforts, fundraising, community service, and contributions to co-curricular life at GRU.

Award applications may be submitted by member currently listed on the nominated organization's roster or by the organization's faculty/staff advisor.

The organization that wins the Mountaineering Award is not eligible to win either the Ascent Award or the Horizon Award. Organizations are encouraged to apply for all awards for which they are eligible, however.
